Homecomming!

Day 279

Tonight is the homecoming football game for the high school where I teach, so I thought it was an appropriate title for today’s picture and blog. The students are excited and enjoyed a week of lax dress code. For me, this signals the weekend is FINALLY here and I am going to enjoy my weekend student free! I do not part take in any of the homecoming activities (grin).

By Friday afternoon, I am tired and ready for some much-needed down time and quiet time. When I arrived home, there was a big box on at my front door and I was so excited. Karen and Lloyd gifted me with a traction stool! I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this gift is and it will keep on giving. The really great news… So easily put together! I can lift it and I cannot wait to set it up early evening.

Tonight is going to be a bio-mat and traction stool night! Yes, I know, this is a truly weird thing to get excited about, but I am looking forward to what this is going to do for my hips. I will be able to set it up easily, lay down and put my feet up (literally) and open up my hips. Not only will it relieve the pain in my hips, it will relieve the stress I hold in my hips.  Oh yeah! Nothing could be better!

Quote:  ”Smiling is very important. If we are not able to smile, then the world will not have peace. It is not by going out for a demonstration against nuclear missiles that we can bring about peace. It is with our capacity of smiling, breathing, and being peace that we can make peace.”  - Thich Nhat Hanh
